30 km from Fondo Riso
Leaving the Via Emilia just after Imola, among the gentle hills and vineyards you’ll find another characteristic place: the Medieval village of Dozza. There’s a castle dominating the village, narrow streets paved with cobblestones, and – the most distinctive aspect – the famous wall paintings, which make this community of just over a thousand people a truly special place. The streets are adorned with large decorative murals by various artists, a tradition renewed every two years with the Biennale del Muro Dipinto. And don’t forget the Enoteca Regionale, for lovers of excellent wine.
